General description

The Camino de Santiago to Finisterre is the only route that travels along the Atlantic coast, following the path of Finisterre, from Santiago to the mythical place known as the "end of the world".

This path has an even older story than Christianity. In fact, there are evidence that shows that, long before the arrival of Christianity, the Pagan peoples already pilgrimage to Fisterra, in the Costa da Morte. They believed that this was the place where the sun died, and that at that precise moment, when the sun was put on, the worlds of the light and darkness joined. During that moment, the pagans prayed and made offerings of gratitude to their gods.

Upon reaching Finisterre, we can continue the tour to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Barca in Muxía, another traditional pilgrimage destination. This sanctuary is in a spectacular location, surrounded by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, offering a unique experience in its kind.
