Cancellation Policy
At Good Way Santiago, we want you to have complete clarity when booking your Camino experience. That’s why we explain our cancellation policy simply and transparently.
WITHDRAWAL, TRANSFERS AND CANCELLATION
The user or consumer may withdraw from the requested or contracted services at any time. If the withdrawal or cancellation occurs up to 15 days before the start of the trip, Good Way Santiago will refund 100% of the reservation. If the withdrawal or cancellation occurs less than fifteen days before the start date, there will be no right to any refund. Likewise, if you do not show up at the scheduled departure time, you will not be entitled to any refund of the amount paid, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
Cancellation with refund
When notified 15 days or more in advance of the start date: 100% refund of the amount paid.
Cancellation without refund
When notified less than 15 days in advance of the start date: No refund of the amount paid.
Reservation transfer
If unable to attend, the traveler may transfer their reservation to a third party by requesting it in writing at least 7 days before the trip start date. The transferee must meet the same requirements as the transferor, and both will be jointly liable to Good Way Santiago for payment of the trip price and any justified additional transfer costs.
Cancellation due to minimum number
If Good Way Santiago makes the viability of the trip offer conditional on a minimum number of participants and this number is not reached, resulting in the cancellation of the trip, the user will be entitled to a full refund of the price or any advance payments, without being able to claim any compensation, provided that Good Way Santiago has notified them in writing at least 15 days before the scheduled start date.
Important: No refunds are accepted if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after it has started. No refunds will be made for any unused accommodation, transportation, excursions, meals, or services.
CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION BY GOOD WAY SANTIAGO
Limitation of refunds
All refunds and compensation are strictly limited to the money paid to Good Way Santiago, and no responsibility is accepted for indirect personal expenses incurred as a result of this reservation (such as visas, vaccines, flights or other fees, loss of earnings or enjoyment, etc.).
Right of cancellation
Good Way Santiago reserves the right to cancel a service unless its operation is guaranteed, refunding its value. It also reserves the right to cancel for reasons beyond its control (natural disasters, strikes, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, etc.). In such cases, only the price of the service will be refunded.
Service modifications
Good Way Santiago reserves the right to make modifications to the service, such as changes in schedules or accommodations if these do not ultimately meet the service and safety requirements for our clients.
If before the start of the trip it is essential to substantially modify any of the main characteristics of the services or increase the price of the trip by more than eight percent, the traveler may, within 7 days, accept the proposed change or terminate the contract without penalty. The client who terminates the contract may accept a substitute trip, if possible of equivalent or higher quality.
Important note:
The Organization reserves the right to interrupt the transport of any passenger who causes inconvenience to other hikers, travelers, clients, or creates difficulties that hinder the proper functioning of a trip, and accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage or personal belongings or any consequential loss resulting from such actions.
No exceptions:
There will be no discounts or refunds for lost or unused services due to illness, death of a family member, etc., late arrival to the tour, or voluntary or involuntary early departure.
