The Camino de Santiago from Lugo represents the second section of the Primitivo Way and is an ideal option for those pilgrims who wish to experience the most authentic essence of the Camino.
We will begin this stage in the historic city of Lugo, famous for preserving one of the best-preserved Roman walls in Europe. With more than 2 kilometers in length, this impressive structure surrounds the old town and has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In addition to its historical legacy, Lugo stands out for its excellent gastronomy, with a wide variety of bars offering delicious pinchos and tapas.
During the journey, we will walk through lush forests and fertile farmlands, following ancient stretches of Roman roads and crossing charming medieval bridges. In the town of Melide, the Primitivo Way joins the French Way, thus merging two great Jacobean routes.
The journey culminates in Santiago de Compostela, where you can obtain the Compostela, the pilgrim certificate, and explore its beautiful old town, also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

United StatesThe Primitivo Way is demanding but very rewarding. Good Way Santiago organized each stage and I was able to enjoy the scenery and history.

United StatesThe Camino Primitivo from Oviedo was everything I hoped for and more. The mountain scenery, the peaceful villages, and the sense of tradition make this route stand out. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
